This RFQ is for the purchase of the following: Item 0001: 8,250 yards of webbing textile, nylon, 1200 lb. breaking strength, 0.85 oz per linear yard, 1 23/32 inch width, camo 483, type XII, abrasion resistant treated IAW class R of MIL-W-4088K NSN: 8305-00-281-3012. Item 0002: 5,694 yards of webbing textile, nylon, 1 23/32 inch width, camo green 483, type VI treated in accordance with class R of MIL-W-4088K, standard sample roll 3559, NSN: 8305-00-281-3013. Item 0003: 94,603 yards of webbing textile, nylon, 4500 lb. breaking strength, 2.8 oz. per linear yard, 1 23/32 inch width, yellow 1365, type XVI, abrasion resistant treated IAW class R of MIL-2-4088K, standard sample roll no. 2045 NSN: 8305-00-782-6732; Item 0004: 16,790 yards of webbing textile, nylon 4500 lb. breaking strength, 2 oz. per linear yard, 1 23/32 inch width, camo 483, type XVI, abrasion resistant treat IAW class R of MIL-2-4088K, standard sample roll no. 3559, shade only NSN: 8305-00-782-6735. Item 0005: 6,199 yards of webbing textile, nylon, 400 lb. breaking strength, 1.6 oz. per linear yard, 1 23/32 inch width, blue no. 35109 of fed-std-595, type VIII, class 1, abrasion resistant treat IAW class R of MIL-2-4088K NSN: 8305-00-811-1615. Previous awards history: item 0001: last purchased in Aug. 1985 for 300,000 yards from Narricot @ $0.23 per yard; item 0002 last purchased in April 1999 for 51,272 yards from Narricot Industries @ $0.28 per yards; item 0003 last purchased in February 2001 for 138,545 yards from Narricot Industries @ $0.33 per yard; item 0004 last purchased in September 2002 for 69,769 yards from Murdock Webbing, @ $0.43 per yard; item 0005 last purchased in April 1999 for 14,048 yards from Narricot Industries @ $0.49 per yard. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after (03OCTOBER2003) this is an estimated date. From the Gateway home page, select ?Search RFQs? from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFQ you wish to view. Amendments to this solicitation WILL NOT be available via the Gateway. In order to receive notification of amendments to this solicitation you must E-MAIL the Contract Specialist, listed below under Point of Contact, with the name and address of prospective offeror, phone and fax number and a point of contact. Please reference solicitation number in all e-mail correspondence. An unsuccessful offer may result if prospective offeror FAILS to e-mail the Contract Specialist of their intent to offer on this solicitation. In addition, you can enter DSCP C&T FSCs and NSNs to receive notification of RFQs. The Gateway will send all registered users an e-mail notification of RFQ solicitations based on your FSC and NSN profile. The NSN notification will contain a link that can connect users directly to a digital copy of the solicitation on the Internet. Important Note on Foreign Content: The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as "The Berry Amendment") impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies
