- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Wiley Technology, Inc., 800 Marina Blvd., Suite 700, Brisbane, CA 94005 under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 6.302-1 ?Only one Responsible Source? for Introscope software, Wiley?s Java application monitoring tool. Delivery will take place within 30 days ARO. The software will be used to measure SSA Java application activity. The software provides key performance and capacity measurements of Java systems that will be developed under WebSphere environments. The measurements include application level service time (response times) at the Java applet level from inside the application, as well as application level system utilization data at the Java applet level. Use of the software will be limited to preproduction performance engineering and capacity assignments. The Government knows of no other software products that possess these necessary salient characteristics. The required products are as follows: part number 12601A Introscope Software for EDCS Sun Enterprise Server quantity of 8; part number 12602A Introscope SQL Agent quantity of 8; part number 14001A Introscope Transaction Tracer quantity of 8; part number 14002A Introscope Leak hunter quantity of 8; part number 12603A Introscope Powerpack for IBM WebSphere quantity of 8; part number 12604A Introscope Powerpack for IBM MQ Series quantity of 8; and part number 12605A Introscope Powerpack for IBM CICS Transaction Gateway quantity of 8. Maintenance is required for a base year and then for four- one year option periods. The Government anticipates the award of a firm-fixed price purchase order. Other organizations possessing the requisite expertise and resources are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience, and other pertinent data (including GSA schedule information). Pricing data may be submitted. This is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information submitted. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of information received. If SSA does not identify other acceptable sources capable of providing the software and maintenance, SSA shall issue a sole source award under FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisition-Test Program to Wiley Technologies, Inc. Responses to this notice should be submitted in within 10 days of this publication should refer to Introscope. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged.
