- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items with the intent to award as a sole source prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested. A written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation, number N00259-03-T-0119, is issued for reference only. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC 2001-15. The contractor shall provide CLIN: 0001: NON-PERSONAL SERVICE contract for a Research Scientist for the period 01October 2003 to 30 September 2004. Services are for animal research support in audiology,physiology, histology, data collection, writing manuscripts and reports. Researcher will maintain animal records and database, behaviorally condition animals to research conditions, conduct chamber noise exposures, evaluate noise-induced cochlear damage using auditory brainstem measurements and hitologically with vital dye or electron microscopy procedures. Trouble-shoot problems and provide solutions and consultation for research directions and objectives. Analyze and statistically interpret findings, graphically reproduce results and write reports and manuscripts using research outcomes to present at scientific conferences and to submit to audiologic and physiological journals. Quantity: 12 Unit of Issue: Months. The duties to be performed shall be in accordance with the statement of work. Copy of the statement of work is available upon request.
