- The Bureau of Land Management, Salt Lake City, Utah has a requirement for 100 tons alfalfa hay, small bales (NTE 130 lbs) to be delivered to the Delta Horse Corrals, Delta Utah and 300 tons medium bales (NTE 1500 lbs) to be delivered to Butterfield Canyon, Herriman, Utah. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation Number for this notice is RFQ JSQ034089. The solicitation document and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14, dated May 22, 2003. Medium bales may be 3 X 3's, 3 X 4's or 4 X 4's. Successful contractor to provide clean alfalfa hay, suitable for horses and burros, to be delivered, offloaded and stacked at the Delta and Butterfield Wild Horse Corrals. Successful offeror shall provide a forklift or other means to offload and stack the hay. Hay is to be clean, free from noxious weeds and foxtails, with no rain damage and a crude protein content of approximately 18 - 20%. Preference shall be given to proposals offering 3rd crop. Each delivery shall be inspected by the COR to ensure compliance with the specifications. Each delivery shall be made on an as needed basis and shall be made within 7 days after notification of need. Any hay rejected by the Contracting Officer's Representative shall be removed and replaced. Hours of delivery: 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday - Friday, excluding weekends and Federal Holidays.
