Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request for Quotation (RFQ) # 042332 is assigned. This requirement is being conducted under the procedures of Part 12 and 13 (test program). All incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-15. This solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website http://fedbizopps.gov. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. The North American Industry Classification Code is 334220. This is a firm fixed price, one time buy contract. The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to solicit and negotiate for the following Sony production equipment. The Government?s requirement is for 4- RMM10 Rack Mount Kits for PFV-L10 frame; 4 - PFVL10/PAC 19 inch rack mountable compact interface unit; 12 ? BKPFL462 encoder modules used for conversion of component 4:2:2 serial digital (SDI) to NTSC or PAL composite analog; 26 - BKPFL641 module to convert an NTSC or PAL composite analog signal into a 4:2:2 component serial digital (SDI) video output; 1 ? BKDS9470 Digital Effects Processor for the DVS9000 production switcher.The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by reference and apply to the acquisition and can be found in full text at http://www.acqnet.gov. FAR Provision 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items (OCT 2000); FAR Clause 52.212-4 (FEB 2002) Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items; FAR Clause 52.212-5 (APR 2003) Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items, Subsection (a), and (b) 1 (Alternate I), 11,12,13,14,15,16, 19,21,24 apply. FAR Clause 52.215.5 Facsimile Proposals (OCT 1997) applies. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR Provision 52.212-3 (FEB 2002) Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items with their quote. Offerors must acquaint themselves with the new regulations concerning Commercial Item Acquisitions contained in FAR Subpart 12, and must ensure that all Representations and Certifications (located on the internet) are executed and returned as required in this synopsis/solicitation. Offerors are hereby notified that if their quote is not received by the date/time and location specified in this announcement, their quote will be considered late and will not be accepted. The award will be made to the responsive, responsible offeror submitting the lowest price technically acceptable offer and meeting all terms and conditions set forth in the announcement. An award will be made within two weeks after closing date. Delivery of the items shall be 30 days after receipt of order. The delivery shall be FOB Destination FBI Academy, Quantico, VA 22135.
