- This notice is to announce that this NSN will be solicited in the near future. This is not a Soliciation/Request for Proposal. The Soliciation/Request for Proposal will be forth coming and will be available via the DSCC Website address (URL) is http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil/rfp/. The response date referenced above is estimated. Solicitation Issue date is on or about 10/06/03, with the Response date on or around 11/07/03. Note: Copies of this solicitation will only be available via the World Wide Web. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. Reference number: IQC03253009062. NSN: 5945-01-148-9774. Nomenclature: Solenoid, Electrical. Approved sources: Onan Corporation (44940) P/N 307-1101, Synchro-Start Products Inc (78388) P/N SA-1637-24. BODY DIAMETER APPROXIMATELY 2 1/2 INCHES. BODY LENGTH APPROXIMATELY 5 1/2 INCHES. INTERMITTENT DUTY. ITEM IS FUEL STOP SWITCH, USED TO SHUT DOWN ENGINE, AND PROTECT FROM DAMAGE DUE TO OVERSPEED. HAS ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS ON HOUSING AND A SWITCH ELEMENT SO WHEN SPEED INCREASES OVER A PRE-SET RANGE, ENGINE IS SHUT DOWN. TECHNICAL DATA IS PROPRIETARY AND CAN NOT BE RELEASED. An Indefinite Quantity Contract (365 days basic) is anticipated. Total 1 year estimated quantity is 1280 each. Various incremental quantities will be solicited. Deliveries will be to various DLA customers and/or stocking locations. FEDERAL, MILITARY AND COMMERCIAL SPECIFICATIONS CANNOT BE PROVIDED BY DSCC. While price is a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit an offer/quote, which shall be considered. See numbered notes: 26 Adequate data for the evaluation of alternate offers is not available at the procurement agency.
