- The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis a Firm Fixed Price Contract to procure Weco ?Verifier-Pro? Lensometer/Layout/Blocking systems from Weco, 5975 Shiloh Road, Suite 110, Alpharetta, GA 30005 for the Naval Ophthalmic Support and Training Activity, 160 Main Road, Suite 350, Yorktown, VA 23691. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 13.5 ?Test Program for Certain Commercial Items? (Clinger-Cohen). The North American Industry Classification System Code is 423460, Ophthalmic Goods Merchant Wholesalers. The contract Line Items (CLINS) are as follows: (1) 8 Weco ?Verifier-Pro? Lensometer/Layout/Blocking Systems, (2) 8 Bar Code Readers, and (3) Shipping Costs to ship equipment to Yorktown, VA. Potential offerors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. This office no longer issues hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a proposal, the vendor will be self-certifying that neither the offeror nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the proposal. The solicitation is expected to be issued on or around 12 September 2003. Notes 1 and 22 apply.
