- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to purchase the following services on a Sole Source Basis from SEMTech Solutions, Inc., 6 Executive Park Drive, North Billerica, MA 01862-1319: SEM Model 1830I---SEM Upgrades---Digital Imaging and E.D.S. The new system will be purchased as a combination package. The EDS upgrade for the existing EDAX detector and imaging will include: a) 4 Pi Quantitative Analysis Software, b) Titan Pulse Processor Hardware, c) Cables and interface for existing EDAX detector w/ 184 preamp, d) 4 Pi Active Digital Imaging Hardware and e) 4 Pi Imaging Software Package w/ (1) input channel. This system will also require a PC, operating system, and peripherals. This system requires a ?Digital Beam Interface? (DBI) accessory on the SEM. Our SEM instrument does not have a DBI, one will have to be provides and installed. The upgrade of the scanning electron microscope (SEM) will be used to provide elemental analysis and electronic image storage. SEMTech Solutions hardware upgrades are required for compatibility with our existing SEM machine. Award is to be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR 13). The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100 has implemented Electronic Commerce (EC) in the acquisition area, therefore the solicitation with any applicable amendments will be available on the World Wide Web at http://www.nswc.navy.mil.supply. Hard copies will not be provided. Vendors should regularly access the NSWCDD website to ensure they have downloaded any and all amendments. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTATIONS AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. Interested parties other than SEMTech Solutions Inc. must be able to demonstrate, in writing, their capability to provide the requested services.
