Description
Contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies and materials to place, grade, and compact not less than 800 tons and not more than 1600 tons of crushed rock on a woven geotextile base. The project is located at the mouth of the Mattole Campground in Humboldt County, CA and is named Mattole Campground Crushed Stone. The work site is at the mouth of the Mattole River. This work shall consist of furnishing, placing and compacting not less than 900 tons and not more than 1800 tons of Class II (1?-inch minus) crushed stone on a geotextile overlying beach sand in accordance with these specifications and in conformity with the lines, grades, and thickness established by the Contracting Officer. Bids shall be based on the per ton cost to furnish, place, grade, and compact not less than 900 tons of crushed stone on a contractor-furnished woven geotextile underlayment. The actual amount of crushed stone to be placed will be determined by the Contracting Officer based upon available budget and bid price. The crushed aggregate shall consist of hard, durable particles or fragments of stone or gravel crushed to the size and of the quality requirements for crushed aggregate materials normally used locally in the construction and maintenance of highways. Aggregates shall be well-graded from course to fine and shall be free of vegetable matter and clay balls. The Geotextile fabric shall be a woven Class II or III geotextile and shall be placed under all driving and parking surfaces. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business concerns. SOLICATATIONS WILL BE AVAILABLE ON OR AROUND September 26, 2003 and will close October 16, 2003, 12 a.m. EST. To obtain this solicitation go to website http://ideasec.nbc.gov/ and you must also be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) website http://www.ccr.gov. This project is estimated not to exceed $100,000.00. Estimated start date is October 24, 2003, estimated end date is January 30, 2004. A Site Tour is scheduled for September 30, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. Interested parties are to meet at the Mattole Campground at the end of Telegraph Road outside Petrolia, CA.
