DESCRIPTION: Walla Walla District, Corps of Engineers, has a competitive requirement, F.O.B. destination, for elevator maintenance services. The Contractor must provide personnel, materials, supplies, equipment, transportation, supervision and other ite ms and services necessary to perform routine cleaning, maintenance, repair, inspection and servicing, adjustments and calibrations to the elevator equipment, appurtenances and accessories on eleven elevators and must ensure compliance with the latest editi on of the American Standard Safety Code for Elevators A 17.1 and all other applicable laws, regulations, rules, ordinances, codes, etc. The work will include but is not limited to hoist machinery, motor brushes, commutators, brake shoes and linings, relay s, contacts, coils, wiring circuits, hoist way control cables, leveling devices, car ventilating equipment, car and hoist way door or gate hangers, tracks, cams, guides, infra-red door curtain, operating devices, interlocks, push buttons, hall lanterns, si gnal and accessory equipment, etc., (Not included are hoist enclosures, total replacement of hoist way control cables, door panels, car enclosures, frames, sills, car lighting lamps, hoist ropes, and complete replacement of motor assemblies unless damaged as a result of Contractor negligence. While these specific items are not included, the Contractor shall note and report to the Contracting Officers Representative any required repairs and/or replacements necessary) at Dworshak Dam, Lower Granite Lock and Dam, and Little Goose Lock and Dam as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PMS). This is a fixed-price, performance based service contract where desired outcomes are defined and measured while contractor methods are generally not constrained or direc ted. Present plan is to have a base year and four option years. Proposals will be evaluated on criteria indicated in the solicitation. A tentative listing of the main factors in a descending order of importance will be technical, past performance and pr ice. Procurement is full and open competition. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238290. This is not a request for proposal, but notice that a solicitation will be issued for this requirement. All responsible sources may sub mit an offer which will be considered by this agency.
