Description

The Department of State is seeking small business vendors to provide 60 tactical communication headsets. The headsets being sought must enhance the ability to effectively coordinate in a variety of situations through two bone mass vibrating transducers for receiving audio signals, a noise canceling waterproof electret microphone mounted on a flexible boom, 4-way adjustment of contact tensions against the face and head and adjustments to the XTS K adapter currently being used for all push to talk (PTT) equipment. The headsets should be designed for high impact and high temperature changes, should not interfere with corrective or protective eyewear and is adaptable to a gas mask. The microphone and PTT should both be waterproof to one meter. The headsets should allow for the use of soft ear protection while not impairing ability to communicate with the radio.
