- Description
- The Navy requires the refurbishment of High Voltage Distribution Units (HVDU?s) on the AN/SLQ-32 for the U.S. Navy Surface Combatants. The refurbishment is to be performed in accordance with a Government prepared Statement of Work outlining all refurbishment requirements to include painting, sandblasting, and various repairs to the components within the HVDU and the Module encapsulation. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis with Signal Technology Corporation, KELTEC Division, 84 Hill Avenue, Fort Walton Beach, FL, 32548, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. See Note 22 and 26. This action will result in a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a 5-year ordering period. The minimum contract quantity to be placed on order will be 80 HVDU ?s, while the contract maximum quantity will not exceed 574 HVDU?s. It is anticipated that the delivery will be FOB Destination Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana. The solicitation is expected to be posted on or about 03 October 2003 on the NSWC Crane website at www.crane.navy.mil/supply/homepage.htm; no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed.
