- NA The Directorate of Contracting Fort Campbell intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with MPH System Specialties, Inc. for the follow item. 'Strike Hold' Weapons Spray , 6 oz aerosol can, 12 cans per case, 2,500 cases, that meets the following Requirements: a.) Penetrant: Fast acting penetrant that immediately cuts through dirt, rust, carbon, and scale to quickly get into parts that have become frozen by or encrusted with corrosion and oxidation; b) Lubricant: A long-lasting lubricant, which reduces friction and will not become dry, brittle or harden. Product helps dry out wet electrical gears and other water sensitive parts; c) Protectant: As a protectant, this product provides a shield-like film against the effects of moisture and corrosi on, including salt water.; d) Environmental Considerations, Product is environmentally safe, containing no CFCs or other ozone depleting substances; e) Non-Flammable; f) Weapons Maintenance: A high penetrating mobile liquid, intended for field applicat ion to satisfy the complete need of cleaning, lubricating, and long-term preservation of both small and large caliber weapons. Product contains corrosion control and synthetic oil additive formulated for weapons maintenance. Product leaves a protective f ilm that sand and dust will not stick to; g) Removes firing residues, gums, and other contaminants from weapon components, while at the same time providing adequate lubrication and long-term preservation for reliable, durable operation in all climatic con ditions; and h) Transportable by air without special packaging / handling. NAICS code for this procurement is 325998 and is to be awarded on an unrestricted basis. This sole source procurement is under the simplified Acquisition Procedures, and Other Tha n Full and Open Competition. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 10 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurem ent based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source negotiation with MPH System Specialties Inc. Responses are due by 18 Sep 2002, 2:00 p.m. (CST).
