- Description
- The Federal Railroad Administration intends to competitively solicit sources for purchase of ECP brakes of the stand-alone type for use on a demonstration train consist which include one locomotive and five freight cars. This consist is to be used for demonstrating some new technologies. The brake system shall be of a design and type that is offered commercially for sale to any potential customer and must have some prior revenue service use on a freight rail system. Sources interested in competing for the solicitation which is being issued as a competitive request for quotations (RFQ) DTFR53-03-Q-00041, should respond to the proposal instructions contained in this RFQ.
