- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) #132008. The provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-15 This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and a Small Business set-aside. The NAIC is 33422 and the business size standard is 750 employees. This contract action will result in a Firm Fixed Price - Brand name-One time buy contract. Brand Name: Garmin. Requirements: Garmin Street Pilot III Deluxe (50 ea), Garmin E-Map (30 ea), Garmin 128mb memory card (60 ea), Garmin map source U.S. Metropolitan CD (20 ea), Garmin map source U.S. Topo CD (20 ea), Garmin Metroguide CD W. Europe (2 ea), Garmin Map source European City Nav (2 ea), Garmin E-Map external Antenna (30 ea), Garmin cigarette adaptor (30 ea), Garmin Rubber protective cover (30 ea). A standard commercial warranty is required. FOB-Destination-Quantico, VA 22135. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition. FAR provision 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items (Oct. 2000), FAR clause 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commerce Items (Feb. 2002), FAR clause 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (June 2003). Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR provision 52.212-3-Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (June 2003), Offerors or encouraged to fax quotes to (202) 324-0570. FAR provision 52.215-5 Facsimile Proposals (Oct 1997), FAR provision 52.212-3-Evaluation-Commercial Items (Jan 1999). The Government will award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
