- DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The intention of this solicitation is to provide all labor, materials, training, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to perform the surface preparation, priming, interior and exterior painting of various buildings and structures. Surfaces to be painted include both new and previously painted surfaces. Existing painted surfaces may contain lead paint and shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to test and insure proper surface preparation is performed as necessary so as not to violate any Federal, State and Local laws, and regulations. The work shall be located at the Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, AZ and outlying areas such as Martinez Lake, Cannon Air Defense Complex, Aux II, and other areas connected to the Yuma Marine Corps Air Station. Exact locations of projects will be indicated by the Contracting Officer at the time such task orders are issued. THIS SOLICITATION IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR 8(a) CONTRACTORS SERVICE BY THE ARIZONA SBA OFFICE ONLY. BIDDERS MUST BE CERTIFIED 8(a) CONTRACTORS BY THE SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION PRIOR TO SUBMISSION OF A BID. The North American Industry Classification System (N.A.I.C.S) Code is 238320, and the small business size standard is $12 Million. This solicitation is for one Base year and two (2) One-year options for a total of 36 months. The contract guarantees a minimum of $50,000 for the Base year, Option period 1 and 2. All responsible 8(a) bidders may submit a bid, which, if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. All responsible bidders and plans rooms must register as plan holders on the website: http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil in order to receive a copy of this solicitation. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive/responsible bidder. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a), availability of this requirement will be limited to the electronic medium; this requirement will be available for viewing and downloading, free of charge, via http://www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. Hard copies (paper sets) or a CD-ROM of this solicitation, or the plan holder’s list will NOT be provided by the Government. All contractual and technical questions must be submitted in writing and may be faxed to (928) 269-3557. No telephone or e-mail questions will be accepted. Notification of any postponements and any amendments to this solicitation will only be posted on this website. It is the sole responsibility of the bidder to continually view this website for any amendments made to this solicitation. This solicitation will be made available for viewing and downloading approximately 28 May 2003. A tentative site visit date is set for 17 June 2003, 9:00 a.m. The closing date for receipt of quotes is tentatively scheduled for 09 July 2003, 14:00 (local time). NOTE: The apparent successful bidder must be registered in the Department of Defense (DoD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Award will NOT be made to contractors who are not registered in the (CCR) Database. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing the website at http://www.ccr.gov.
