- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a bureau of the U.S. Department of Commerce, requires wireless telecommunications services for the National Ocean Service (NOS). Nationwide wireless airtime is needed for approximately 32 government-owned cellular telephones for the period October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004. Services shall include monthly access, miscellaneous and incidental fees, roaming fees, and Blackberry services. Current cellular telephone numbers shall be used and maintained. Responses are due by September 19, 2003. Award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures and will be based on the best value to the government. Evaluation factors are approach, past performance and prices. The information set forth in this Pre-Solicitation notice is an advanced copy of NOAA's Request For Quote (RFQ) that becomes final unless otherwise modified before the response date. Interested contractors are herby advised that proposed changes to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) require that contractors be registered in the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) in order to receive payments after September 30, 2003.
