- Description
- Z--Taiya River Watershed Project, Alaska. This project consists of a constructed log jam at the apex of the meander bend to redirect some energy from the flowing water. Further downstream a series of two low rock weirs spanning less than 1/3 of the channel will be installed. These structures are often referred to as bank barbs. To increase roughness on the banks, 600 feet of streambank will be agressively planted with cottonwood and willow poles in the spring. NAICS code for this project is 234990.
