- Description
- The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, CA intends to award a firm fixed price contract to Arnold Magnetics Corporation, 841 Avenida Acaso, Camarillo, CA on a sole source basis. The purpose of this action is to refurbish and modify twenty-eight (28) VXI Power Supplies, Part Number RM1X-7102A AC-DC, for use in the CV-4331 chassis of the Submarine Low Frequency/Very Low Frequency VME Bus Receiver (SLVR) set. This action is based on Arnold Magnetics Corporation's requisite combination of original equipment manufacturer, proprietary design, specialized modification, and shock and vibration testing of the VXI Power Supplies. Use of any other contractor would result in substantial duplication of costs not recoverable through competition. Authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. See Note 22. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 335999 and the size standard is 500 employees.
