Medical Supplies - Potential Sources Sought Military Hospitals - (Army, Navy, Air Force) TRICARE Regions 9 and 10 Surgical Towels (Sterile & Reusable) - Standardization Point of Contact: Cindy Ingrao, Clinical Consultant, Tri-Service Regional Business Office, TRICARE Regions 9 & 10, San Diego, CA. Telephone: (619) 532-8517. Potential sources sought to participate in the regional standardization of Surgical Towels (Sterile & Reusable). TRICARE Regions 9 and 10, a military integrated delivery network (IDN), comprised of Army, Navy and Air Force medical treatment centers in California are in the process of standardizing Surgical Towels (Sterile & Reusable). If your company currently holds or is in the process of obtaining a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) with the Defense Supply Center-Philadelphia (DSCP) for Surgical Towels (Sterile & Reusable), your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. Please respond by Email: cingrao@reg9.med.navy.mil and provide your company name, address, point of contact, telephone, fax and E-mail address and answers to the below listed questions no later than September 12, 2003. For questions, please call (619) 532-8517. 1.Does your company manufacture a sterile & reusable surgical towel? 2.Are your products available through the Prime Vendor, Owens & Minor? 3.What is your DAPA Number? 4.Under what brand(s) does your company manufacture or distribute your product? 5.What standards do you use to manufacture your products? 6.Is your product latex free? 7.Is your product lint free? 8.What type of fabric(s) is(are) available for your product? 9.Do you use non-toxic, color fast dyes in your surgical towels? What colors are your surgical towels available in? 10.How durable are your surgical towels? How many times could they be possibly used in a normal setting? 11.How absorbable are your surgical towels? (Express in liters or milliliters) 12.Do your surgical towels come in different thicknesses or durability? 13.What precautions does your company take to eliminate fraying of the surgical towel? 14.What sizes are available for your product? And how many are there in a pack? 15.Does your packaging allow easy delivery to sterile field? 16.Does your company have a program for recycling used surgical towels?
