Description

Olympic National Park intends to award a firm-fixed price supply type Purchase Order for 1 ?" Minus Crushed Rock. This procurement will consist of a base award for 1,000 cubic yards of crushed rock with an additional optional line for 1,000 cubic yards of crushed rock. The aggregate shall be delivered by the Contractor in incremental shipments to Graves Creek Road located in the Olympic National Park, Washington. The deliveries shall take place between the dates of 10/15/2003 and 1/15/2004. The Government will provide to the Contractor a notice of 5 business days in advance for all orders. The Government will not request less than 100 cubic yards of aggregate per day. The rock shall be fractured and evenly graded. The material will be inspected by a representative of the Contracting Officer and will be rejected if the product does not meet the Government's requirement. Contractor shall spread the rock on Graves Creek Road at a depth and consistency that will be determined by a representative of the Contracting Officer upon arrival of the truck. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written RFQ will not be issued. The RFQ No. is Q9500030388. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 212321. Offers for this procurement will be accepted from all responsible small and large businesses. Contract Line Item (CLIN) 0001 is 1 ?" Minus Crushed Rock, quantity is 1,000 cubic yards. CLIN 0002, optional item, is 1 ?" Minus Crushed Rock, quantity is 1,000 cubic yards. This RFQ incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-15 dated July 24, 2003. Quantities are not to exceed 1,000 cubic yards for the base item with an additional option quantity not to exceed 1,000 cubic yards to be awarded at the discretion of the Government.
