- NA The Directorate of Contacting at Fort Drum, NY is issuing a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to industry for remanufacture of two Oshkosh P-19 Aircraft Rescue Firefighting (ARFF) vehicles. Contractor must be authorized by Oshkosh to refurbish ARFFs. The purpo se of this project is to extend the useful life of these units for an additional ten years by upgrading the fire suppression capabilities and correcting numerous deficiencies that have developed through routine use. The remanufactured vehicles shall be pr imarily intended for use in rescue operations and in combating fires resulting from aircraft ground emergencies. Procurement will be conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The NAICS Code is 336120, Heavy Duty Truck Manufacturing, with a size standard of 1,000 employees. Acceptance will be performed at Fort Drum, NY. Any resulting quote will need to state where remanufacture work will be accomplished. Solicitation will be unrestricted and quotations may be submitted by any responsible s ource. The anticipated issue/posting date will be on or about 4 September 2003. All sources wishing to quote are required to monitor the Fort Drum Contracting web page for any/all amendments to the request for quotation. Failure to respond to any amendments may render the quote as non-responsive.
