Description
The 12th Contracting Squadron at Randolph AFB intends to award on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR Part 6.302. Award will be made on a sole source basis to The Air Force Association (AFA), Arlington, VA, under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being accepted and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number F7AFME32250200 is issued as a request for quotation. This combined synopsis/solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-12. The SIC Code is 6513, size standard is $6M employees, and the NAICS code is 531110. The contract is for rental/sublease of exhibit spaces at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel from the AFA during the AFA National Convention and Aerospace Technology Exposition on 15 ? 17 Sep 2003. The AFA is the Office of Primary Responsibility for the convention and exposition, and has awarded a contract to the Marriott Wardman use of the hotel, and is subleasing exhibit spaces to each of the participating agencies. The exhibit spaces will be used to facilitate the presentation of the Chief of Staff Team Excellence Awards during the convention. Award is anticipated on 5 Sep 03. Interested persons may express their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals within (5) calendar days after date of publication of this notice of intent. The following clauses and provisions can be viewed through Internet access at the AF FAR Site, http://farsitehill.af.mil FAR, 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. A firm-fixed price award will be made to the responsible offeror submitting the proposal that provides the best value to the Government. Interested parties capable of providing the above must submit a written proposal to include discount terms, site locations, past performance information, tax identification number, cage code, and firm evidence of their ability to perform. All responses that meet the criteria contained within will be considered. Since award will be based on initial responses, it is encouraged to offer your most advantageous pricing in your initial response. To be eligible to receive an award resulting from this solicitation, contractor must be registered in the DoD Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database, NO EXCEPTIONS. To register, you may apply through the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, therefore, the evaluation procedures at FAR 13.106-2 will be used. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which, if timely received, will be considered by this agency. Offerors are due not later then 1:30 P.
