Description
GSA/FSS Small Business only: Furnish all plant, labor, equipment, and materials to plan and install, a security monitoring system, with redundancy, to protect facilities on Maxwell AFB and Gunter Annex. The work consists of but is not limited to, installing LRE, UPS, CAT 5 LAN cables, GBIC-SX, and a switch at the Visitors Center to handle the increased requirement; providing an alarm system that reports over the base LAN utilizing a DOD approved encrypted device. This device must be FIP197 compliant. Components must support and be compatible with 100 MBps and support DHCP. The system must establish redundancy at both Law Enforcement desks at Maxwell and Gunter and will monitor 45 buildings with motion, duress buttons, and door switch alarms. Utilization of the base LAN for sending and receiving data is the only option that will be considered. In order to access the LAN, the encryption encoding software provided must be approved by Base Communications Squadron (COMM). This will include an evaluation of the code by SSG, to guard against any vulnerability to the base LAN. COMM has indicated that the government?s newly approved Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is the desirable encryption standard. Absolutely no modems or wireless access points are allowed. The display at the LE Desk must be full English readable readout, no numeric codes. Full Lifecycle warranty (6years) of all parts is required. Vendor to provide training to Maxwell Maintenance Support Division personnel and the Security Forces Community. System must use the existing alarm components, as much as possible.
