Description
The SIR for the subject project was originally released on May 15, 2003. Vendor responses were due May 30, 2003. Due to lack of competition, the SIR is being reopened to a larger pool of contractors. This requirement is set-aside for competitive award among Socially and Economically Disadvantaged Businesses (SEDBs) that are expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the SBA's 8(a) program at the time of release of this announcement. To be considered, a contractor must be classified as a small business under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541511, Custom Computer Programming Services - $21/Million. The geographic area for SEDB NAICS code 541511 companies, to be potentially eligible to respond to this SIR, is now the entire United States excluding Alaska and Hawaii. 1) Contractors who are interested in proposing on the work described in this Statement of Work (SOW) may by electronic mail send questions or comments regarding the SOW to the FAA Contracting Officer. 2) The FAA will post such Contractor questions and comments with FAA responses, all at one time, at this website. Contractor names will not be associated with any questions, comments, and FAA responses. 3) It is emphasized that all Contractor travel (and subsistence) to be billed the FAA, shall be done only if it is approved in advance by the FAA. The FAA intends to award this contract on a fixed-price basis, except for travel and its associated subsistence. 4) Paragraph 24 of the SOW is clarified as follows. Most Contractor work will be done at the Contractor???s facilities. SOW paragraph 24 applies to the small amount of time the Contractor will physically be at the FAA site. 5) The Impart website is an FAA Intranet site. The following Impart URL replaces the URL with the ???.htm??? extension given in the previous SIR. The Impart website???s home page and some of the critical web pages may be viewed at : http://www.logistics.faa.gov/impart 6) The closing date for receiving Contractor questions and comments regarding this SOW is Wednesday, September 17, 2003. After this initial review of the SOW, a SIR will be issued establishing a date for response.
