- Description
- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) intends to award a sole source commercial contract to Siemens Building Technologies, Inc under 41USC 252(c)(1) one responsible source. The award will provide support for the existing Siemens Building, Technology Systems to include: ( Item 1) Provide an annual Technical Support Program to include on-site service one day per month plus two additional days in the spring and fall by a factory certified representative with a minimum 5 years experience to perform maintenance and troubleshooting of Siemen?s Building Technology System 600 Insight/ Apogee System; (Item 2) Upgrade Two Siemens Building Technology- Landis Division Insight 2.8 Operator Workstations to Apogee; (Item 3) Provide Siemens Building Technology DDC for four Forrestal Child Development Center (CDC) heat pump systems and eight associated exhaust fans; (Item 4) Provide Siemens Building Technology Stop/Start Control and Status for System AC-7; (Item 5) Provide Siemens Building Technology Stop/Start Control and Status for Make-up fan; (Item 6) Upgrade All Network Field Panels to Apogee; (Item 7) and Enhanced Summertime Operational Control utilizating the New GSA Chiller Plant; This is a notice of intent to award sole-source and is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms who want to challenge the sole-source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates the firm's ability to service the Siemens Building Technology System, as described above. Interested parties must provide a price proposal and rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond by 5:00p.m. EST, within seven (7) calendar days of this notice to: Ryan Miller, ME-641.2, 1000 Independence Avenue, S.W. Washington, DC 20585. Fax (202) 287-1456 or 1457. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed work will be based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note (22) 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
