Description: Requirement is for 31 Taser X26 brand stun guns with penetrator units, batteries and holsters. Requirement is being procured on a sole source basis with Taser International in order to obtain the gun with the following characteristics. Weapon must deliver voltage from a distance of 15 ? 21 feet away from the shooter. Must deliver 105 MDUs (Muscular Disruption Units) with 50,000 peak voltage and 2.1 milliamps average current. At this time, Only Taser International is known to have the specifications and patents necessary to produce a taser capable of delivering the required voltage from the required distance.
