Description

A draft Request for Proposal for the Operation and Maintenance of the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) has been posted for industry review and comment. AUTEC is a deep water, test and evaluation facility for making underwater acoustic measurements, testing and calibrating sonars, and providing accurate underwater, surface and in-air tracking data on submarines, surface ships, aircraft, and weapons systems in support of the U.S. Navy's Undersea Warfare (USW) and undersea research and development programs and for assessment of Fleet operational readiness. AUTEC is located on Andros Island, in the Bahamas with a stateside support facility located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The AUTEC maintenance and operations (M&O) contract entails support for planning/conduct/reporting of range customer test programs, maintenance and operation of range instrumentation and related test support systems, and performance of all base operations functions and related requirements. AUTEC has been a contractor operated, Government managed, program since its inception in 1966. The program has a continuing need to receive contractor services for the operation and maintenance of AUTEC facilities. NAICS: 561210.
