- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, California intends to procure on a competitive basis, a quantity of two (2) First Article units, two hundred eleven (211) Protective Nose Caps, and two hundred eleven (211) Protective End Caps utilizing a Firm Fixed Price contract. Optional quantities for both items including ranges of 1-100 and 1-200 for two Options will be included in the solicitation. One First Article unit for the Nose Caps and one First Article unit for the End Caps shall be produced and tested prior to 3 weeks after contract award. The remaining 211 Nose and End caps shall be delivered in lots of 50 with final delivery no later than 4 months after award. The successful offeror shall be required to fabricate, inspect, and test the units in accordance with a drawing package that includes two drawings. The drawing package is designated as export-controlled information in accordance with Arms Export Control Act (Title 22, U.S.C., SEC 2751) or Executive Order 12470. The drawings are limited to DOD and DOD contractors. In order to receive the drawing package, potential offerors must be certified by the Defense Logistics Information Service (DLIS). Verification of this certification can be obtained by search at http://www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp If certification has not been completed and the potential offeror is therefore not currently eligible to receive the drawing package, the potential offeror must submit a DD Form 2345 to DLIS. Potential offerors can obtain the form at the DLIS web site above or by calling DLIS at (800) 352-3572. Delays in receiving certification from DLIS will not justify extending the proposal due date. The Request For Proposal shall be issued on or about September 11, 2003 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home pages at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
