Description
Provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to repair/modify various types of towers and weather instrument poles Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) contract located at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fort Pierce Microwave Relay Annex, Jonathon Dickinson Missile Tracking Annex, Malabar Transmitter Annex, Melbourne Beach Optical Tracking Annex, Stuart Microwave Relay Annex, Wabasso Microwave Relay, Patrick Air Force Base, and Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The period of performance for this IDIQ contract will be for a basic contract period of 1 year from date of award and four 12-month option periods. The work includes but is not limited to repair and modification of tower structures to include replacement or addition of new structural metal members, fasteners, guy cable assemblies with required connection hardware and safety wires, safety climb fall protection systems, ladders, guy cable insulators and foundations. Application of corrosion inhibitor coatings on fasteners and hardware. Earthwork, fill and compaction for foundations. Cleaning and painting of tower structures. Repair and modification of electrical systems to include replacement or addition of new grounding systems, lightning protection systems and aircraft warning light systems. Tests and inspections required for quality control and the processing of salvageable materials. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on or about 26 September 2003. The RFP will close on or about 26 October 2003. This acquisition if Unrestricted IAW the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program. The RFP is available by electronic transmission only. Potential contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Register (See Internet site: http://www.ccr.gov) and submitted a VETS 100 report (See Internet site http://vets100.cudenver.edu) to be eligible for award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Award will be made utilizing the Price-Performance Trade-Off (PPT) technique, where past performance and price will be evaluated to make award. The minimum guaranteed amount for only the basic contract period is $100,000.00. No minimum guaranteed amount will be given for the option years. The estimated range of this acquisition is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The NAICS code is 237310 with a size standard of $28.5 million.
