Description
The 21st Contracting Squadron, Peterson Air Force Base (AFB), CO, issue?s this request for quote of Personal Alarm System (PAS) manufactured by Cimarron Technologies, part number NR-01-4672a or equal. The PAS must be pre-approved by the ICBM Program Manager at Hill Air Force Base, UT. and ready for immediate purchase (cannot interfere with ICBMS systems). This is not a first article requirement and only fully ready commercial units will be purchased. Certain PAS proprietary information cannot be released with out the consent of Cimarron Technologies. However, salient information will be provided upon request. Briefly put, the PAS must transmit and receive, be compact, self-contained, operate at maximum efficiency, have an external stubby antenna, know if the user is in trouble, be able to transmit problems intermittently and be specific to each user (coded). The over all effect should be that ground forces can stay in contact with maintenance personnel in the missile silos under ground both directly and intermittently, so that if personnel cannot verbally communicate, the PAS will know if a man is down and notify others. This requirement will possibly be competed again as a first article requirement in 2007. The quantity of 50 PAS unit?s are required. The system requirements also include transmitter batteries (two each per unit, 100 total), battery chargers (one each per unit, 50 total), multi station rapid charger for transmitter radio batteries (capable of charging six batteries at once, total of 6), shipping and warranty. The business size standard is 750 employees. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334220. The government anticipates the award of a firm fixed-price contract of the system to include any and all applicable installation. Any responsible companies may submit information to the POC listed- This is not a request for quote, bid, or proposal.
