Description
Air Armament Summit 2004 Industry Forum -The Air Armament Center at Eglin AFB FL will be hosting the sixth-annual Air Armament Summit the 17th of March 2004. Summit VI will review and assess long-range strategic plans for air armaments. Although attendance at the Summit itself must be limited, an effort is being made to invite U.S industry and academia participation through involvement in the Summit?s Industrial Forum strategic panel. This announcement invites such participation. The initial strategy panel kick-off meeting will be held on 29-30 Sept 2003, at Eglin AFB, FL. U.S. companies and academic institutions able to contribute to air armament strategic planning through 2029 in the focus topics of: 1) Air Armament Connectivity into Network Centric Warfare, 2) Universal Armament Interface (UAI), and 3) Air Armament Production Acquisition Strategies, are invited to participate. The Industrial Forum will discuss acquisition and development methods as well as assess industry?s ability to effectively and efficiently develop and field air armament systems. Participation on the Industrial Forum requires a secret-level clearance. The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) is sponsoring industrial and academic participation on the Industrial Forum strategic panel. Companies and Academia Institutions will be limited to two participants each. This announcement is for planning purposes only and does not constitute an invitation for contracting of any nature. Participation in the Summit VI Industrial Forum is voluntary and does not create any obligation on the U.S. Government.
