- Description
- The government intends to negotiate and issue a sole source modification to Contract F10603-98-D-0001 with The Carpet Shoppe, Inc., 230 N. 2nd East, Mountain Home, Idaho 83647, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, to continue to provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, and supervision to provide commercial carpet at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. The purpose of this contract extension is to provide these services until a new contract can be awarded. Award has been delayed because the contracting office issued a new solicitation that contained significant errors in the evaluation criteria and had to be cancelled and resolicited. This modification will extend the contract for the period of 1 September 2003 to 1 November 2003 to allow time for the acquisition process for a new contract. The current contractor is the only source available to provide these materials and services for a two-month period without expensing start up costs to the government. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
