- NA The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for lifecyce support on the Critical Power Distribution Systems (CPDS), including the Critical Redundant Power Distribution Systems (CRPDS), and the Dual Redundant Power Distribution Systems (DRPDS) designed, and integrated by NV Enterprises (NVE), Reston VA. The CPDS provides power to critical and essential loads at six Terminal Radar Approach Control (TRACON) facilities in the National Airway Systems (NAS). The contractor will be required to provide technical experts with experience and proficiency in design, modification, and operation of the CPDS hardware and software (including associated CPDS technical documentation. The FAA intends to solicit and negotiate only with NV Enterprises, Reston VA, in accordance with AMS Policy 3.2.2.4. A market survey was conducted in August 2003, and the results of this survey supported our determination to solicit and negotiate with only one firm.
