- Management and Training Corp., d.b.a. Denison Job Corps Center located at 10 Opportunity Drive, Denison, IA 51442 is seeking cost proposals for replacing a boiler located in the Administration Building on the campus. The work will consist of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials and supervision to complete construction work to replace an existing boiler with a new power gas burner rated at 85% or higher. A "staged" boiler system with 2,3 or 4 boilers. The output of the existing boiler is 3,000,000 Btu/hr. Contractor is responsible for evaluating the existing system to correctly size the boiler for maximum efficiency. Provide all plumbing connections, piping, valves, and hookup necessary for the proper operation of the heating system. Install the appropriate hookup to allow for easy and accessible maintenance and service. Provide all necessary electrical connections, conduit, controls, safety devices and any other apparatus necessary for the safe and proper operations of the heating system in accordance with all codes and standards. Ensure adequate ventilation is provided. The contractor will be responsible for providing any and all permits to ensure compliance with all local and State regulations and codes. The system must be fully operational upon completion. Remove the old unit and dispose of all debris, leaving the area clean, and complete all work in a professional manner. Provide a suggested installation plan for review and approval. A mandatory pre-bid walk thru will be held September 9, at 2:00 p.m. All interest bidders must attend. Bid packets will be available at that time. Submission are due back no later than September 26, 2003 at 11:00 a.m.
