Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, 346 Marine Forces Drive, Grand Prairie, TX intends to make multiple awards for the provision of the following medical services: Dental Assistant (North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code 621399) at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Ashland, KY; Psychiatrist (NAICS code 621112), Medical Assistants (3) (NAICS code 621399), and an Orthopedist (NAICS code 621391) at FCI Beckley, WV; Radiology Interpretations (NAICS code 621512), Radiology Technician (NAICS code 621399), and a Phlebotomist (NAICS code 621399) at FCI Cumberland, MD; Optometrist (NAICS code 621320) at the Federal Medical Center, Lexington, KY and; Pharmacy Technicians (2) (NAICS code 621399) and Radiology Technicians (2) (NAICS code 621399) at the Federal Correctional Complex, Petersburg, VA. The Contracting Officer anticipates awarding multiple indefinite-delivery, requirements-type contracts. The contract periods will consist of a 12-month base period and four 12-month option periods. The estimated quantities for the base and each option year for each medical service is as follows: Dental Assistant is 1560 one hour sessions per year, Psychiatrist is 150 one hour sessions per year, Medical Assistants (3) is 1560 one hour sessions each per year, Orthopedist is 96 one hour sessions per year, Radiology Interpretations is 3600 readings per year, Radiology Technician is 624 one hour sessions per year, Phlebotomist is 1248 one hour sessions per year, Optometrist is 132 three hour sessions (on-site) and 24 three hour sessions (office) per year, Pharmacy Technicians (2) is 1560 one hour sessions each per year and Radiology Technicians (2) is 260 four hour sessions each per year. The solicitation will be available on/about August 25, 2003 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides downloading instructions to obtain all documents relating to this solicitation. All future information concerning this acquisition, including the solicitation and any subsequent amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the website to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about the acquisition. The date for receipt of quotations is on/about September 29, 2003. This solicitation is a total small business set-aside. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation which may be considered. See Note 1.
