- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA intends to award a purchase order to Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc., under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 through solicitation number EA133F-03-RQ-0208. Only one responsible source is available to satisfy the agency requirement for (2 ea) SEACAT plus profiler; (2 ea) 600meter plastic housing; (2 ea) SBE 5T Pump for SBE 5M pump; (2 ea) WETStar Chlorophyll fluorometer, 500 meter plastic housing, 75mg/l range; (2 ea) WETStar & CTD integration (strap-on) cable & mount kit w/standard connectors; (2 ea) 1000 meter strain gauge pressure sensor; (1 ea) SEACAT plus profiler; (1 ea) 7000 meter titanium housing; (1 ea) 3500 Meter stain gauge pressure sensor; (3 ea) 4 differential A/D channel (0-5v input range); (1 ea) stainless-steel protective cage, 40 in. (101cm) tall; (1 ea) WET labs ECO-FL (RT) D Deep chlorophyll fluorometer, 100 ug range, 6000 meters; (1 ea) ECO & CTD integration (19/25 cage), cable and mount kit (CTD standard connectors). These instruments are needed to integrate into an existing system and be interchangeable with existing instruments. Any alterations or software modifications would be significant and costly. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All information received by 4:00 p.m., EST, 09/19/03 will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. Responses to this notice, if any, must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government.
