Description

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service in Albany, California has a requirement for a 2-hybrid system analysis of 50 proteins identified from an existing genome sequencing project. System analysis includes providing 25 micrograms of 2Mb microbial genomic DNA and the sequence of 20 genes of interest. At minimum, 5 overlapping fragments that span at minimum 95% of each of the 20 genes of interest (100 protein fragments minimum) will be amplified from the specified genome and cloned into a vector of a bacterial based two-hybrid system. A shotgun library of the genome will be created in the vector using a high efficiency adaptor method. This 2-hybrid system of protein analysis is required as a follow-on project of our existing genomic DNA sequencing and the Government intends to negotiate with the only known responsible source, Agencourt Bioscience Corporation, performing the existing shotgun sequencing. A solicitation is not available for this notice. Interested firms are encouraged to submit proposals containing descriptive literature of their technical capabilities/services to the mailing address shown in this notice.
