Description

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Computing Services (CS) is requesting information regarding methodologies for mainframe software licensing and maintenance support for other than total system capacity. Examples of sub-capacity licensing methodologies include, but are not limited to, LPAR-based, value-based, engine-based, and Workload Licensing Charge (WLC). Request vendors provide a description of the corporate methodology(s) they can support, and include what types of information would be required from DISA in order to put a methodology in place (e.g., number of MIPS, platforms, engines, LPARS, customers, etc). DISA is encouraging any innovative strategy that provides software licensing and maintenance without requiring the total CPU?s resources. Responses are due no later than 5:00 p.m. September 3, 2003.
