Description

This requirement is for waterborne transportation of Coast Guard Sea Marshals to and from waterfront locations within the San Francisco Bay Area and locations off shore where the pilots typically embark and debark inbound and outbound vessels. The period of performance is planned for 01 November 2003 (or date of award) through 30 September 2004, with four (4) one year option periods from 01 October 2004 through 30 September 2008. The solicitation will be issued on or about 15 September 2003, with a planned closing date of 10 October 2003. The waterborne transportation services will be acquired under the authority of FAR Subpart 12. ?Commercial Items? and Subpart 15, ?Contracting by Negotiations?. A pre-award survey is planned. More definite information concerning the survey will be included in the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued via the Electronic Posting System at www.eps.gov under Vendor, DHS, United States Coast Guard, Commander (fcp-2) USCG Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Alameda, CA. Telephone, written, and E-mail requests for hard copies of the solicitation package will not be accepted, the solicitation must be extracted from the EPS web site. The NAICS code is 483212 with a size standard of 500 employees.
