- Description
- NAICS Code: 541710 The U.S. EPA intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Delta Toxicology, Crystal Bay, NV, to conduct categorization and regression analysis for the development of a report on human exposures to airborne toxins in support of Agency's existing draft guidance on acute methodologies, the Acute Reference Exposure (ARE),under the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1. The U.S. EPA National Center for Environmental Assessment believes that Delta Toxicology, is the only known supplier who can provide the required report because only Delta Toxicology has knowledge of the categorization scheme of the "CatReg Prototype Software", sufficient to perform the categorical regression analysis necessary to accurately predict the probability and severity of a toxic human response from exposure to airborne toxins. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. However, any firm believing itself capable of meeting this EPA requirement may submit technical documentation to establish its assertion. The documentation must be submitted to the POC within 15 days of the electronic posting of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the EPA. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed on a sole source basis. The applicable NAICS code is 541710, Research and Development in the Physical, Engineering, and Life Sciences. The applicable size standard is 500 employees. This acquisition is being processed under FAR Part 12. The anticipated award date is 09/25/03. See numbered note 26.
