- Description
- The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire on a sole source basis, maintenance services from Sony Electronics Inc. of San Diego, CA. Maintenance services will include tear-down, inspection, evaluation and repair of Sony broadcast and industrial standard recorder/reproducers and editing recorders used in Shipboard Information, Training and Entertainment (SITE) systems. The Government requires a guaranteed turnaround time of 10 business days for each equipment item/component covered under the contract. Most of the covered equipment is no longer in production. Services to be acquired are for the Naval Media Center, Annacostia Annex, MD. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price contract will be placed for a base year, to be followed by four 12-month option periods. The proposed contract action is for maintenance services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. See numbered note 22.
