- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire a computerized Virginia Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS ?Latent Fingerprint Workstation) in support of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Forensic Laboratory, Washington D.C. AFIS will allow the searching of DOD latent fingerprints through the state of Virginia criminal fingerprint card database. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, NEC Solutions, Inc., under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Simplified Acquisition Procedures with be used. The RFQ number will be N00140-03-Q-3968. The NAICS code is 811212 and the Small Business Standard is $21M. A firm fixed price order is anticipated for award by 30 September 2003. The Request for Quotation may require the submission of cost/price and technical information.
