Description
NA This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are b eing requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The MO-AVCRAD Shop in Springfield, Missouri has a requirement for downdraft benches. Specifications as following for this request may not be all inclusive therefore, a site visit is highly enco uraged by any vendor wishing to submit a proposal. A site visit is scheduled for September 4, 2003, 10:00 AM central time. The Downdraft benches are required during the sanding of aircraft rotor blades in preparation for repair and repainting. Request a total of 16 each, 78 inches wide by 52 inches deep and 8 each, 52 inches wide by 52 inches deep downdraft benches that can be assembled end to end making 4 downdraft work areas of 34 ft. 6 inches by 52 inches deep (see attached drawing). Additio nally, downdraft benches may be required to be separated and work individually. A. 72?????? downdraft benches are not required to have walls and lights on the individual benches. We require a nominal airflow of 3,000 (CFM), 450-1000 feet squared filter area, minimum 5 horsepower motor, downdraft of at least 200 feet per minute, work surface minimum load per square foot of 60 pounds and scratch resistant, backwardly inclin ed centrifugal blower, and minimum 5 year warranty. B. 52?????? downdraft benches are not required to have walls and lights on the individual benches. We require a nominal airflow of 2,000 (CFM), 225-500 feet squared filter area, minimum 3 horsepower motor, downdraft of at least 200 feet per minute, work surface minimum load per square foot of 60 pounds and scratch resistant, backwardly incline d centrifugal blower, and minimum 5 year warranty. C. Dust collector utilized with the downdraft benches would have approximately 3 rows of 36 cartridges, 36 filters, a minimum filter area of 6500 feet squared, with 18 valves. Approximate dimensions for the dust collector will be 125 inches wide by 145 inches high by 80 inches deep with quick removal access covers for filter removal. The collector must have a ??????drum-full?????? indicator and be capable of working in colder climate. Warranty must be a minimum of 5 years. D. Filter System must have a minimum 40% control efficiency. Mass emission rate at maximum throughput must be less than 0.30 grains/dscf. E. Electrical must be dual voltage, 208-480 Volt AC F. Set-up, installation, and training are required at MO-AVCRAD within 30 days of equipment arrival. Training of 8 personnel maximum is required. Evaluation factors in order of precedence are as follows: (i) technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement; (ii) price (iii) past performance (see FAR 15.304); (iv)location of company for future servicing of e quipment; and (v) site visit attendance by the contractor prior to submitting a proposal.
