- Description
- The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, labor, materials, equipment, permits, license and supervision for Project No. 544-03-904 =93Demolish Water Tower =96 Building 14=94 located at the WJB Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, South Carolina. Work includes the dismantling and disposal of the metal tower structure which contains lead based paint. The Contractor will be responsible for completing the work in accordance with all state and federal laws regarding the handling and disposal of lead containing material. Contractor shall provide all temporary barricades necessary for the safe performance of work. Cost Range: $25,000.00 to $100,000.00. Estimated solicitation issue date is August 26, 2003. One (1) organized pre-bid site visit is scheduled for September 4, 2003. Participants will meet at 9AM EST at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Building 22, Room 3B105, Columbia, SC 29209. It is highly recommended that all interested parties attend this pre-bid site visit. Bid Opening Date: September 26, 2003 at 3PM EST. This solicitation is unrestricted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238910. The small business size standard is $12 million [average annual receipts for 3 preceding fiscal yrs]. Solicitation (Bid) documents consisting of the Solicitation, Specifications, and Contract Forms for submitting a bid may be downloaded without charge from the following web site: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ on or about August 26, 2003. No hard copies of the Solicitation, Specifications, or Contract Forms will be provided. Drawings will be posted as an attachment to the solicitation. As many copies of the Solicitation, Specifications, Drawings and Contract Forms may be made as necessary for you to submit a bid. Copies of any or all of the documents may be made at the Contractor's expense by contacting any business that has access to the web site and a plotter capable of printing the drawings. Return of the solicitation material is not required. It is recommended that interested parties enter their information in the Solicitation Mailing List at the web site referenced above. The SML is accessible at the bottom of the Solicitation Summary page by selecting =93Enter Solicitation Mailing List Application." Interested parties MUST go to the web site to obtain copies of the Bidder=92s Mailing List. Individual copies of the Bidder=92s mailing list WILL NOT be prepared. Amendments to the Solicitation will be posted on the referenced web site. Hard copies of the amendments will NOT be individually mailed. By entering vendor information on the SML, potential bidders will be notified electronically of any new amendments that have been posted. Bidders are reminded that they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this Solicitation. Failure to acknowledge any and all amendments WILL result in your bid being considered NON-RESPONSIVE. Subject to availability of funds.
