- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, VISN 9 Acquisition Service Center (90C) intends to award a sole source contract for the Lexington, KY VA Medical Center under the authority of FAR 6.302 with Cytyc Corporation, 85 Swanson Road, Boxborough, MA 01719. The contract will be for the ThinPrep 2000 Processor to include supplies for 100 non-gyn tests and training for one pathologist and one cytotechnologist. NAICS Code 423450. Interested parties have until August 20, 2003, 3:30 PM US/Central time to submit, in writing, their qualifications/capabilities to supply this instrument and training. Such qualifications/capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after August 20, 2003, 3:30 PM US/Central time or without sufficient information to enable the Government to determine whether the firm is qualified and capable to supply the instrument and training, will be considered nonresponsive to the synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government not to conduct a competitive procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A statement which contains clear and convincing information identifying their capabilities regarding supply of this instrument and training must be on a company letterhead and sent to Pam Dodd via fax 615-867-5429 NO LATER THAN 08/20/2003 03:30 PM US/Central time. Contractors are REQUIRED to call Pam Dodd at 615-867-6097 to verify receipt of any documentation faxed to 615-867-5429.
