Description
MODICTAION TO NOTICE POSTED 04 AUGUST 2003. The following questions and answers are provided on the combined synopsis/solicitation posted on 04 August 2003 on soliciation USZA92-03-T-0048. Question: What finish do these stations need to have? Answer: Plastic Laminate. Question: In regards to the decals with the DODDAC (W#?s) on the 3?x 3? x 3? boxes will the contractor need to supply and install these? Answer: Yes, in 3? Block Letters. In regards to the Military emblems in color are thy part of the contract? Answer: No, they are unit crest decals. Question: How thick does the rubber mats in side the 3?x 3? x 3? boxes need to be? Answer: 1/8? thick. Question: How long and wide are the Bench top/counter tables with metal legs in the initial photographs? Answer: The benches/tables are 36? high, 30? wide and 16ft Long. Question: What are the walls for the boxes? Answer: Walls are ?? millimene. Question: What are the finish specifications on the aluminum frame? Answer: Polished. Question: Wehat are the specifications on the table? Answer: 36? tall with a rubberized mat, 30? wide and 16? long. Question: Is the hinge shown on the interior of the door specific or can we use our standard hinge? Answer: Yes, hinge is specific (as shown). Question: The specifications state that the vendor/contractor will supply the decals. Is that something you supply to us in finished form to be attached and if not, do you have any information on a source you prefer? Answer: The Government will provide a list of DODACC?s so the vendor/contractor can create the decals. Question: Does not the specifications call out for hasp, instead of the eye bolts shown in the pictures? Answer: Yes, hasps will work in place of eyebolts and any Heavy Duty Key Lock will suffice. Question: The floor space seems to be not adequate for the number of cabinets requested? Answer: The boxes are ?3 to a set? . Top and bottom are both 3ft cubed, however, the top box consists of 2 boxes ( basically a divider in the middle and 2 doors) A total of 160 boxes 60 large (50 specific bottom cabinets and the 10 can be stacked 2 high) and 50 top boxes (which consists of 2 cabinets), stacked on top of the 50 bottom cabinets (see drawings). Question: How much clearance is needed on the delivery side of the cabinets? Answer: 4-5 Feet Question: The pictures seem to show the cabinets in modules of eight (8). Is this the desired arrangement? Answer: Not necessarily. The warehouse shown in the picture only had eight (8) customers. Question: Can hasps and handles be one piece of hardware? Answer: No, two (2) separate pieces. Question: Will the manufacturer supply locks? Answer: Yes Question: Is a master series lock required? Answer: No Question: Does aluminum trim include bottom edge? Answer: Yes Questions: Are the cabinets to be ancored to floor? Is what is the Floor construction? Answers: Yes, Concrete Question(s): Is the DODACC decal a decal and not silk screening? Are the decals currently available? Is new art work required? Answer(s): The DODAAC?s list will be supplied. Simply Decals (no silk screening) No ?art work? required. Question: What is the desired height of the counter over the computer monitor Answer: 2 feet from the base of the counter/desk. Questions: Is metal the desired material for the legs on the counters? Do you want them folding? Answers: Yes metal is the desired leg material. No, they do not need to be folding legs. Question: Is the counters to be five modules or one piece? Answer: They can be in modules, but need to be connected to each other. Question: What material is desired for the swinging door? Nothing specific, it simply needs to be durable and grey in color. Question: What finish do these stations need to have? Answer: Plastic lament. Question: How are the cabinets put together/secured? Answer: The cabinets need to be secured to each other, probably bolted together and secured to the concrete floor.
