- This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-03-Q-6124. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2000-07. This is 100% set-aside for small business. NAICS Code is 335921; size standard is 1.000 Employees. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items: Quantity 5 each, FHG4-PM4HSB04-00, FibreXtreme SL100 PMC (Serial FPDP), 1.0625 Gbs Data Link Card, Bi-Directional, 5v, copper, HSSDC Connectors; Quantity 1 each, FSD6-PMVP1EP0-00, FibreXtreme S/W License for SL100/SL240 Data Link Driver, VxWorks 5.3.1 & 5.4, PPC. Project License; Quantity 1 each, FED6-PMVP1E0R-00, FibreXtreme S/W Doc/Media for SL100/SL240 Data Link Driver, VxWorks 5.3.1 & 5.4, PPC, Executable Code, CD ROM; Quantity 1 each, FHS4-55555555-10, LinkXchange LXVME 2500 Serial FPDP switch, LinkXchange LXVME 2500 protocol switch with eight 1 & 2 Gb/s SFP transceivers, Cu HSSDC2 Connectors, Expandable to 16 ports with optional expansion board; Quantity 3 each, FHAC-Q2HS1001-00, Cable 10m, Shielded quad copper cable, duplex, HSSDC connectors, commercial grade; Quantity 1 each, FHAC-Q2HS3001-00, Cable 30m, Shielded quad copper cable, duplex, HSSDC connectors, commercial grade; Quantity 3 each, FHAC-Q2H95000-00, Cable 5m, Shielded quad copper cable, duplex, HSSDC to 9-pin D-SUB connectors, commercial grade. Required delivery is 60 days after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. It is expected to place a purchase order with Systran Corp., Dayton, OH. Systran is the only known source for these items because they are the only known manufacturer of Serial FPDP Protocol PMC cards that has ported the PMC Drivers to the Radstone G4DSP Signal Processor. Evaluation will be in accordance with FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation--Commercial Items. Evaluation factors are technical capability, price and past performance. Each is equally important.
