- Description
- The U.S. Geological Survey, Biological Resources Discipline, National Wildlife Health Center (NWRC) intends to modify Purchase Order Number 03ERSA0173 to Health Research, Inc., One University Plaza, Rensselaer, New York for collaborative work on a 3-year project on the geography and pathways of the West Nile Virus in the United States. This is the final year of the project. There are an additional 3,428 samples to be analyzed. Due to the technical detail and experience required to conduct the analysis, it is imperative to the final results when the same lab can be involved in sample analysis for arbovriuses or arboviral antibodies throughout a research project. The sophisticated laboratory equipment and procedures requires the testing of these specimens to be performed by a certified biological safety level three facility. The laboratory procedures require tissue culture production, experience in isolating and identifying viruses, newly developed serological tests, specialized reagents and advanced molecular testing equipment and procedures. A certified biological safety level three facility is required. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUIREST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALKS. The NAICS Code is 813212. Issue date for this notification is August 19, 2003. Anticipated award date is August 29, 2003. The Delivery date is March 31, 2004. Questions should be directed to mfritts@usgs.gov.
