- Description
- The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) anticipates the award of a three-year contract to further develop the independent media in BiH by: (1) improving the legal, regulatory, and policy environment, (2) enhancing the business development of selected media outlets, (3) strengthening newsroom management, journalistic standards, and the effective use of research and analysis in decision making, and (4) supporting the increased domestic production of media products. Over the period of the tree-year contract, the Contractor will steadily and deliberately phase itself out of the sector by working closely with local NGO partners and at the end of the contract merging or transferring activities to its local partner(s). at the conclusion of the contract, the final deliverables will be the presence and effective operation of a nationwide local organization(s) that conduct ongoing training and technical assistance to local media outlets as they move toward financial sustainability. USAID intends to make one (1) award under the solicitation to the most responsible firm/organization whose proposal offers the best value to the Government. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541840. The solicitation will be posted on the FEDBIZOPPS web page (i.e., www.fedbizopps.gov) no sooner than fifteen (15) days after this notice is issued. In accordance with FAR 5.102(d), availability of the solicitation is limited to this electronic medium only. Requests for other copies of the solicitation will be disregarded without notice to the requestor. No phone requests will be accepted and no solicitation will be available for pick-up. No walk-ins.
